Educating and Supporting Partners in the Fight Against Adult Abuse
Riverside County DPSS and community partners throughout the county coordinate an annual conference for service providers that focus on Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse. This year, our annual symposium is estimated to be our largest yet. The purpose of this year’s symposium is to not only to continue to raise awareness about elder and dependent adult abuse but also to highlight innovative approaches, programs, and strategies that aim to prevent or protect the elder or dependent adult from abuse and neglect. We are expecting approximately 450-500 attendees, comprised of city and county government agencies, community agencies, law enforcement, medical providers, financial institutions, and community leaders who work directly with the elder and dependent adult communities.
