Dwight Solis
Dwight Solis is a community advocate, nonprofit leader, and crisis intervention specialist with more than 50 years of experience serving individuals, families, and communities in need. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside government agencies and nonprofit organizations to help people overcome homelessness, poverty, and other life crises through compassionate support and practical solutions.
Mr. Solis has founded and led several community-based organizations dedicated to promoting self-sufficiency and improving quality of life. As founder of the Crisis Caboose Center, he developed programs that helped individuals and families transition from homelessness to stable housing by providing crisis intervention, legal aid referrals, employment assistance, rental support, and access to shelter services. He later established Up From Dependency, Inc. and co-founded West Coast Columbus, OH Connection, Inc., expanding advocacy for seniors, homelessness prevention, food distribution, legal assistance, and community outreach.
His educational background includes studies in theology, social services, business, family law, and universal law, and he has been ordained as a pastor. Mr. Solis remains dedicated to public service, believing that helping others is both his calling and lifelong commitment.
