Helping you and your family be self-sufficient. CalWORKs is designed to give families with children a way to meet their basic living needs.

Preventing Homelessness

Everyone deserves to live with dignity. Individuals and families living in homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness can find support through our department and partnering agencies.

Temporary Housing Assistance

You deserve safe place to live while you work to get back on your feet. If you are experiencing homelessness and need housing, help is available through Home Connect.

Hotel/Motel Vouchers

You deserve a safe place over your head. If you are experiencing homelessness, hotel/motel vouchers can help. We provide hotel/motel vouchers to individuals who are receiving cash aid through CalWORKs for up to 30 days.

Rental Assistance

If you are struggling to afford rent and stay in your home, we want to help. If you’re already receiving CalWORKs, you may qualify for our Housing Support Program!
