Thousands of Caregiving Jobs Available at Online Job Fair on Wednesday
In-home care workers needed to assist Riverside County’s growing aging population

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif.— Riverside County is recruiting in-home caregivers at an online job fair Wednesday (April 6) to help aging and disabled people live safely at home.

Online access for the free hiring event will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jobseekers can chat live with recruiters and apply for registry caregiver positions through online self-registration.

Riverside County administers the state In-Home Supportive Services Program. The program is needed more than ever as one in every five of the county’s 2.5 million residents is age 60 or older – a population projected to swell by 250% in coming decades.

The need for home-care workers is especially great in the Coachella Valley, Anza, Blythe, Idyllwild and Hemet.

IHSS caregivers currently earn $15.50 an hour, have flexible schedules, and receive benefits such as paid sick leave.

Applicants must pass a background check, drug screening and be able to perform caregiver responsibilities including household chores, meal preparation and bathing. Caregivers do not need experience, will have access to training and, if requested, will receive essential protective gear to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

Interested candidates can register for Wednesday’s online hiring event by clicking this link.

Prospective caregivers can also apply by visiting RiversideIHSS.org.
