Lake Elsinore Office Temporarily Closed After Early Morning Fire
Customer service will be rerouted but not interrupted  

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. — A Department of Public Social Services office at 1400 Minthorn St. in Lake Elsinore is closed to the public until further notice after an early morning fire and flooding in the building.

The location includes assistance for Adult Services, Children’s Services and the department’s Self Sufficiency program, which helps customers seeking benefits such as food, cash and health insurance assistance. Services can continue without interruption through DPSS online portals, phone lines, Temecula and Perris offices and other nearby DPSS locations which can be found on our website at: http://dpss.co.riverside.ca.us/office-locations.

No one was onsite at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The department is asking the public to avoid the building while repairs and inspections are underway.

“Customer service is always a top priority for our department and while the building is closed, we’re working to accommodate customers through various ways to ensure service is not interrupted,” said DPSS Managing Director Jennifer Claar.

DPSS officials will continue to keep the public updated about the reopening of the building.
