We are happy to announce that the DPSS Homeless Programs Unit (HPU) will be providing a Capacity Building workshop for agencies that currently do not receive Continuum of Care Program funding through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and may be interested in applying for this funding.
This workshop will be on Tuesday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the County of Riverside Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) Administrative Building, 4060 County Circle Drive, Riverside, 92503. There will be no citations given that day so you may park in the employee lot.
We realize that the application process for the HUD CoC Program Consolidated Application can be intimidating for agencies that have not received HUD funds. As a CoC, we are striving to strengthen and build the capacity of organizations — private and public – that can effectively provide low barrier permanent housing and appropriate services to our chronically homeless, youth and families with children using a Housing First approach.
