Community Resource Fair connects area residents to agency services
Cabazon- Riverside County residents can learn more about local agencies that provide an array of services to meet the needs of families and individuals by attending the Community Resource Fair in Cabazon on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is co-hosted by DPSS Mid County Children’s Services, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Cabazon station, the Riverside County Office on Aging and the DPSS Desert Hot Springs Family Resource Center. The fair is free to the public and will be held in the James A. Venable Community Center, 50390 Carmen Avenue, Cabazon, CA 92230.
“This fair is a terrific opportunity for area agencies to provide the public with information about all of the services that are available to assist the community at one convenient location,” said Susan von Zabern, Director DPSS.
Multiple Riverside County agencies are collaborating with the Community Resource Fair whose purpose is to provide the community with information they need to learn about and connect to services that will provide them a better quality of life. It is especially designed to assist people with disabilities, veterans, seniors, and families with children but there will be information for everyone. Information includes paying utility bills, health insurance, food banks, child education and counseling services, completing high school, jobs for youth, and child abuse prevention.
