Desert Hot Springs Social Services Office Reopens Monday with Limited Onsite Staffing
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Ca.—The Riverside County Department of Public Social Services reopened its Desert Hot Springs office today (Monday) with reduced staffing and limited access to only homeless individuals without phones and customers with urgent essential needs.
The Self Sufficiency office, at 65753 Pierson Boulevard, was temporarily closed last week to allow for deep sanitization after some staff members there reported flu-like symptoms. Most of the 80-member staff at the office is working from home to continue serving customers by telephone or online.
DPSS offices countywide remain closed with limited public access to help curtail community spread of COVID-19, while continuing to provide vital essential services to local individuals and families. All customers and staff entering DPSS locations are required to adhere to social distancing of 6.-ft., as mandated by Riverside County’s Public Health officer.
New and returning customers who need to access benefits and services should visit DPSS online (http://dpss.co.riverside.ca.us/) or call 877-410-8827.
